Diabetes, also known as Diabetes Mellitus, is a kind of chronic disease in which there are high blood sugar levels over a prolonged period. It occurs due to lack of production of insulin in pancreas and sometimes the cells of the body do not respond properly to the insulin produced.
There are three main type of diabetes such as type 1 DM, type 2 DM and gestational diabetes. Let’s have a glance one by one:
Type 1 DM was previously referred to as “insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus” (IDDM) or “juvenile diabetes”, leads to the situation where the body does not produce insulin at all. The reason is unknown. This disease may affect any age group people but usually children and young adults.
Type 2 DM, also known as adult-onset diabetes, is characterized by insulin resistance and relative insulin deficiency. This type of disease can also occur at any age. This type may remain undetected for many years but once identified proper treatment should be taken.
Diabetes type 1 and type 2 are chronic and should undergo lifelong treatment.

Consuming the extract of the bitter gourd early in the morning in empty stomach will provide the best result. It helps to maintain the glucose level.Fenugreek:
Fenugreek reduces the sugar level and stimulates the secretion of glucose-dependent insulin. Its seeds should be soaked for a whole night and should be taken early in the morning regularly. Consuming the ground fenugreek will also keep you away from the disease.Jambul Fruit:
Jambul fruit is every effective in controlling the sugar level. Powder of the Jambul seeds with water for every two days will also help to control as it has an effect on Pancreas to increase the secretion of insulin.Gooseberry:
Gooseberry is rich in vitamin C. Two teaspoons of gooseberry juice with five tablespoon juice of bitter gourd will be very effective when the patients take it in a regular basis.Mango leaves:
Soaking a few tender and delicate mango leaves for a whole night and consuming it in the morning will also help to control the sugar level in the body. It can also be consumed by powdering the dry leaves.
